Every time we complain about life events, we essentially put God on trial. We question His choices, wisdom, love, and care for us, insisting through our complaints that we know better. And though God is gracious and patient with us, even giving us "permission" and "language" so to speak to bring our complaints to Him, we also ought to do so humbly with reverence, as Habakkuk seems to have. May we be people who want to be made and conformed into the image of God, rather than people who try to conform God into our image.
