Adam Jones has been described as the "veritable dean of genocide studies." He is currently Professor of Political Science at the University of British Columbia–Okanagan in Kelowna, BC. He has published various sole-authored and edited books on genocide and related themes, including Genocide: A Comprehensive Introduction, now in its 4th edition, Sites of Genocide (2022), The Scourge of Genocide: Essays and Reflections (2013), and Genocide, War Crimes, and the West: History and Complicity, as well as works on mass media and political transition. Jones has lived and/or traveled in over 100 countries on every populated continent.
