In this episode, Nat and Kevin introduce the Sexual Eras on Screen theme. The first era being covered is The Sex Addict Era from the late-oughts to mid-2010s. To contextualize this era, sexual politics from the late 90s and early 2010s are discussed, which includes the spread of internet porn, the explosion of personal mobile phones and sexting, the age of shock jocks, irony, pre-app dating websites, sex tapes, and Girls Gone Wild. Even though this era is very heteronormative, connections to queer kinksters are made.
