But here's the plot twist.. By tomorrow afternoon, you'll be peeling off layers like it's April. Right now, the whole state is locked in the deep freeze. Northeast Kansas sits at 14 degrees. South Central at 20. Western Kansas at 15. But watch what happens by this afternoon. Western Kansas rockets to 52 degrees by 5 P.M., while Northeast Kansas only climbs to 38. That's a 14-degree gap across the state, all thanks to stubborn high pressure camping out in the east. Tonight, lows dip to 12 in the northeast, 21 in South Central. And 15 out west.
