JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S6E3 - “REST AND RESET; RESET AND REST”
Before the reset, there must be rest. In this episode, Shawn N. Graham reflects on the relationship between rest, renewal, release, and transformation. We often believe change begins by doing more, but sometimes God invites us to slow down, quiet the noise, and allow Him to restore us first. Using 1 Kings 19:11–12 KJV as the scriptural foundation, Shawn reminds us that God’s direction is not always revealed through the loudest or most dramatic moments. Sometimes, His voice becomes clearest when we become still enough to listen. Rest is not a reward for completing the work. It is preparation for the work ahead. When we rest in God’s presence, we can make decisions from clarity instead of exhaustion, establish boundaries from wisdom instead of burnout, and discern what should be renewed, released, or realigned. The reset is not about loss. It is about alignment. PAUSE AND REFLECT Where are you operating from exhaustion instead of renewal? What are you trying to fix before allowing God to restore you? What noise do you need to quiet so you can hear God’s voice more clearly? What have you been carrying that God never asked you to carry? What boundary, habit, or burden is God inviting you to release? 📺 WATCH THIS EPISODE ON YOUTUBE https://youtu.be/aOgIJ1uZj1g 🙏🏾 JUST A MOMENT IN PRAYER Saturday, August 22, 2026 8:00 PM ET | Live on Zoom Bring your faith and a friend. 📚 AVAILABLE NOW 📖 Be Inspired Again by Shawn N. JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S6E2 - "Reset: Choose to Move"
Sometimes the path does not become clear until we start walking. In “Reset: Choose to Move,” Shawn N. Graham explores the difference between patiently preparing and remaining stuck under the appearance of preparation. Rooted in Psalm 51:10, this reflection invites us to examine what we have postponed and identify what needs to be released, reorganized, repaired, or restarted. This episode is a reminder that there may never be a perfect time to begin. Sometimes, the reset begins when we decide that staying the same is no longer acceptable. JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S6E1 - “Welcome to the Summer Reset”
Tomorrow is something we plan for—but today is what we have been given. In the Season 6 premiere of Just A Moment Podcast, Shawn N. Graham welcomes us into the Summer Reset: a season of honest reflection, spiritual renewal, gratitude, and intentional growth. What have you continued to postpone? Is it a necessary conversation, an apology, a healthier boundary, a return to prayer, or a decision to use the gifts God placed in your hands? Through Romans 12:2, Shawn examines what it means to renew the mind and reset the way we think, speak, respond, love, forgive, and show up for our lives. She also introduces In This Moment, a new weekly segment beginning with the word “reset.” In this episode: • Why procrastination quietly steals the moments we have been given • The difference between saying “thank you” and living thankfully • How our attitude reflects our gratitude • Why an honest reset begins with acknowledgment • Areas that may need resetting—including faith, relationships, priorities, communication, discipline, and self-talk • Why beginning again does not require having every answer • How another moment represents grace—not merely more time Scripture: Romans 12:2, KJV “You have another moment. You have another opportunity. You have another chance to choose love, humility, forgiveness, discipline, gratitude, and growth.” Do not wait until the moment has passed to appreciate what it was offering you. Reset while you still have the opportunity to do so. Stagione 5
JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S5E10 - “Reflect and Move Forward”
JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S5E10 - “Reflect and Move Forward” 🎙️ ABOUT THIS EPISODE In this reflective Season 5 finale of the Just A Moment Podcast, Shawn N. Graham closes the Spring Resurrection journey with a reminder to pause, reflect, give thanks, and move forward with purpose. Anchored in Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV, this episode reflects on seasons, timing, memory, gratitude, patience, and the lessons that helped shape Season 5. As spring gives way to summer, Shawn reminds us that every season has something to teach us, and sometimes the calendar says one thing while life and the spirit need a little more time to reflect. This finale looks back on the Spring Resurrection journey, including reminders to keep growing through life’s difficult places, protect your peace, receive correction with a teachable spirit, understand that love sometimes has to say no, and embrace the moments while they are still here. Shawn also reflects on Juneteenth, Father’s Day, family, grief, gratitude, and the personal moments that remind us that every moment does not have to be polished to be purposeful. Resurrection is not always loud. Sometimes resurrection sounds like “I’m sorry.” Sometimes it sounds like “I need to rest.” Sometimes it sounds like “No, not this time.” Sometimes it sounds like “Thank you for telling me.” Sometimes it sounds like “I’m still learning.” And sometimes resurrection is simply the quiet decision to keep going. As Season 5 closes, this episode invites us to carry the work of resurrection forward. The seeds that were planted still need care. The lessons we learned still need application. The growth we experienced still needs protection. The peace we found still needs stewardship. The wisdom we gained still needs to be lived. Be present. Be grateful. Be loving. Be forgiving. Be intentional. Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/qua4NW6-GQ0 Hey… Just A Moment. JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S5E9 - “The Day I Thought My Father Lost Me”
JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S5E9 - “The Day I Thought My Father Lost Me” 🎙️ ABOUT THIS EPISODE In this reflective and heartfelt episode of the Just A Moment Podcast, Shawn N. Graham closes the Spring Resurrection journey with a personal story about the day she thought her father had lost her. After arriving in America for the first time on June 16, 2000, Shawn found herself in a new country with two suitcases, no cell phone, no familiar faces, and no sign of her father. What was supposed to be a joyful reunion became a frightening first experience filled with confusion, fear, and uncertainty. But as God would have it, help came through the kindness of a taxi driver named Ephraim. What began as a difficult moment became a lasting memory of God’s timing, unexpected provision, and the reminder that even when we do not know what is ahead, God is still working behind the scenes. As Father’s Day approaches and spring gives way to summer, this episode invites us to reflect on fathers, father figures, family, memory, gratitude, trust, and the moments we cannot get back. Life does not always follow our plans. Fear often lives in the unknown. Some moments cannot be retrieved. Not everyone gets another chapter. But every day God gives us another opportunity to be present, grateful, loving, forgiving, and intentional. Scripture: Psalm 90:12 KJV “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/OjhKVazbMgQ Hey… Just A Moment. That’s Life!
JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S5E8 — “Teachable Moments”
JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S5E8 — “TEACHABLE MOMENTS” In this reflective episode of the Just A Moment Podcast, Shawn N. Graham continues the Spring Resurrection journey with a reminder that life’s small hiccups can become meaningful lessons when we stay humble, open, and teachable. After a friend noticed something sounded different in a previous episode and called to ask, “Are you okay?” Shawn reflects on feedback, friendship, correction, care, and the wisdom of receiving concern with grace. Sometimes feedback is not criticism. Sometimes feedback is care. Sometimes it is protection, wisdom, partnership, and the very thing God uses to help us grow. Through scripture, prayer, humor, reflection, and recital, this episode reminds us that moments are not always perfect, planned, or polished, but God can still use every moment to teach, guide, strengthen, and grow us. JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S5E7 | “Sometimes Love Says No”
JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S5E7 — “Sometimes Love Says No” In this reflective and timely episode, Shawn N. Graham continues the Spring Resurrection journey with a heartfelt reminder that love is not always proven by saying yes. Sometimes love protects, guides, corrects, covers, and keeps peace by saying no. As summer approaches and children are already out of school, many families are entering a season of changing schedules, growing requests, fuller calendars, and young people wanting to go everywhere and do everything. But every request does not require a yes. Every invitation is not an assignment. Every desire does not deserve direction. Through scripture, prayer, humor, reflection, and recital, Shawn explores the responsibility of parents, grandparents, guardians, mentors, caregivers, and adults who are learning how to guide young people with wisdom, patience, firmness, and love. Saying no is not always rejection. Saying no is not always punishment. Saying no is not always control. Sometimes no is stewardship. Sometimes no is protection. Sometimes no is peace. Sometimes no is love. This episode also invites us to consider our own relationship with God’s “no.” As children of God, we may not always understand when He says wait, not yet, or not that way. But spiritual maturity teaches us that God’s no is not rejection. Sometimes it is protection, preparation, redirection, mercy, and love. Whether you are parenting through summer break, setting boundaries in your home, helping young people mature, learning how to protect your peace, or trusting God through a season of waiting, this episode is an invitation to stand firm with grace. Be gentle. Be clear. Protect peace. Trust God’s no as much as His yes. JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S5E6 — “Protecting Your Peace”
JUST A MOMENT PODCAST | S5E6 — “Protecting Your Peace” In this reflective and timely episode, Shawn N. Graham continues the Spring Resurrection journey with a powerful reminder to be intentional about protecting your peace through seasons of transition, responsibility, remembrance, and change. Coming out of Memorial Day weekend and moving toward summer, this episode explores what we carry after family gatherings, holidays, graduations, emotional moments, busy schedules, and the noise of the world around us. Through scripture, prayer, reflection, and recital, Shawn invites us to pause and ask: What am I carrying that I need to exchange for God’s peace? Peace does not mean everything around us is calm. Peace does not mean avoiding truth. Peace does not mean pretending life is not real. The peace of God meets us in the middle of responsibility, transition, grief, celebration, uncertainty, and decision-making. It guards our hearts, steadies our minds, and helps us walk with wisdom. Whether you are entering a new chapter, recovering from a busy season, navigating family dynamics, setting boundaries, or learning how to stay grounded in a noisy world, this episode is an invitation to protect what God is growing within you. Protect your peace. Guard your heart. Walk in wisdom. In this episode: • Scripture reflection from Philippians 4:7 KJV • Opening prayer • What it means to protect your peace • Memorial Day remembrance and emotional weight • Graduation season and new chapters • Summer pressure, rest, and boundaries • Family gatherings and wisdom • Staying grounded in a noisy world • Discernment and spiritual responsibility • Recital reflection: “I Will Guard This Peace” • Just A Moment in Prayer announcement • Final encouragement and benediction Key Reminder: Not everything that happened needs to come with you into your next season. Not every urgent thing is your assignment. Rest is not laziness. Rest can be wisdom. And peace is not weakness. It is spiritual strength. Hey… Just A Moment. That’s Life!
