How To Discern Truth In An Age Of Noise

Every day, countless voices compete to shape what we think, believe and do. But how can we distinguish truth from misinformation and the voice of God from the noise around us? How to overcome temptation!

Temptation is inevitable, but it is resistible. You don’t have to give in just because temptation shows up. Through the story of Joseph in Genesis 39, we discover three responses that can help us overcome temptation: recognize it, refuse it, and run from it. We’ll talk about identifying our vulnerabilities, refusing to negotiate with sin, taking the way of escape God provides, and preparing ourselves through God’s Word and prayer. Joseph gives us an example to follow, but Jesus gives us a Savior to trust. Because of Him, we don’t have to fight temptation in our own strength, we can walk in the freedom He provides.

Why did God create you? Your purpose goes beyond simply experiencing God’s love and receiving salvation, God created you to be part of what He is doing in the world.
