Eithar Ahmed woke up in Khartoum, the capital of the northwestern African country of Sudan, in April 2023 to a day that changed her life. The Sudanese military was suddenly in war with the RSF, a paramilitary group formed in Sudan that they had worked with in the past. This is the real-life story of a brave Sudanese woman who was forced to flee her country as her city became an extreme war-zone.
In this episode, I talk to my friend Guy Povedano, a person born in the third smallest territory in the entire world: Gibraltar. Nevertheless, this place has a seemingly endless amount of interesting cultural aspects which Guy and I discuss. These include what it is like to be born in a place that is 4 sq miles and how they speak English and Spanish in a unified form called Llanito.
