Folks, winter just sucker punched us. Step outside right now and you're hit with 23 degrees. But that wind? Northwest at 20 miles an hour, gusting to 30. Wind chills in the single digits. That's the kind of cold that makes your eyes water before you reach the mailbox.
We picked up a dusting overnight. Nothing dramatic. But those winds are tossing it around, cutting visibility in spots. Snow showers hang on through early afternoon across Chicagoland, tapering off around 2 P.M. Then the wind takes over as the main character.
Down in Chicago, you're topping out at 27 degrees right around 2 P.M. Snow lingers from late morning through the early overnight hours. By 5 A.M. Monday, you've dropped to 20 degrees. Wind chill? Four degrees. That'll freez ...
