Best known as the creator of La Cucaracha, the first nationally syndicated, politically themed Latino daily comic strip in the United States. Lalo has spent more than three decades documenting the Latino experience through satire. A two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist, his work has appeared in newspapers across the country, and his career has expanded into television, animation, and film, including serving as a cultural consultant on Pixar’s Coco.
