The FCC’s new robot rule lands at an awkward moment for Unitree. New foreign-made humanoid and quadruped robots cannot receive the approvals needed to enter the US market without an exemption, though existing models are unaffected. Odyssey Robot said its products were made in the United States, but its filings showed telltale DJI technology, its supposed Texas assembler denied any connection, and the company ignored the FCC’s questions. The agency has now revoked both approvals.

They then turn to 16 viable bacteriophages designed with genome language models, a promising step toward new treatments for antibiotic-resistant infections ...
