That gray ceiling overhead is hiding something surprising. A day that feels more like mid-April than early March. Right now we're sitting at 54 degrees under overcast skies, but that blanket of clouds is thinning as we speak.
In the next 24 hours. The story this morning is the fog. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for coastal counties until 9 A.M., with visibility down to a quarter mile or less. If you're driving toward Savannah or Brunswick, take it slow and use those low beams. Patchy fog is also lingering across central Georgia and the Atlanta metro, but it should lift by mid-morning.
