We're sitting at a comfortable 67 degrees under mainly clear skies right now. but don't be fooled — a classic Georgia power play is unfolding overhead. In the next 24 hours., A cold front slipped through this morning and stalled to our south. Meanwhile, high pressure over New England is funneling cool air down the Appalachian spine. This creates a wedge. Cold air damming against the mountains. It's a battle between retreating cold and advancing warmth. Metro Atlanta climbs to 70 degrees this afternoon under mostly sunny skies. Southeast winds gust to 20 miles an hour. Tonight brings increasing clouds with a low around 50 degrees. Down along the coast, that northeast flow is pulling moisture inland.
