There are a lot of college baseball pitchers in New Jersey with great credentials this year - but one name who somehow doesn't get more attention is NJIT junior Ryan Fischer. After all, he's the only pitcher at an NJ school to win an NCAA Tournament game in 10 years - going seven strong innings to shut down a talented Northeastern squad during NJIT's magical run last year. Ryan joins us this week for a great JBS where he talks about his growth as a pitcher, how playing American Legion baseball helped him get to where he is, why NJIT is such a great place to play and a great family, and tells us where the name Gritball came from - but more importantly what it has meant to embody the NJIT program.
