My Story - How I Became a Crystal Meth Addict - Part 1/3

Part 1 of a 3 part mini series where I share my story. On my three year clean anniversary I thought it would be apt to share my story in detail. Part one is all about how I became a crystal meth addict when I had previously never touched drugs and was vehemently against them. I discuss the emotional pain, the self-abandonment and the many small steps it took for me to get to the bottom of that pit.

Are You Stuck in a Funk Right Now? Me Too...

Have you ever found yourself stuck in a bit of a rut?! Or as I like to call it... a funk? A funk is when you feel disconnected, lethargic, sad.. like there is a black cloud hanging over your head but for no reason at all.Well that's exactly how I've been feeling the last couple of weeks. And if you ever experience these funks you are not alone, but there is a way out of them... so let's talk about how to get out of that rut. It might not happen overnight, but it's absolutely possible.

Your Addiction is Not The Problem, Your Addiction is The Solution

One of the greatest paradigm shifts I experienced as a crystal meth addict was when I realised that the drugs weren't the problem, they were the solution. Your addiction is trying to show you something - and whatever your addiction may be - drugs, alcohol, gambling, Netflix, social media, dating apps, the gym, work, and religion to name a few - it is there for a reason. It is there to soothe your pain, to distract you, to fill a void. Until we get comfortable facing difficult emotions we may never uncover the real problem and until we uncover the real problem, we will always need the solution - which is our addiction. Realising that the addiction is not the problem but rather the solution is one of the first steps in setting yourself free.

Your Pain is Valid, Stop Brushing it Off

This episode is all about our painful experiences and how we sometimes invalidate the things we go through because we think they aren't "big enough" for us to feel the pain and hurt that we do. Holding onto painful experiences (even the "little" ones) can slowly build up a wall around our hearts and shut us off from letting love in. I talk you through recognising these "little" painful experiences, validating them, giving yourself permission to feel them and then together, we are able to let them go.

You're Not Crazy, You're Having a Spiritual Awakening

Today we talk about my spiritual awakening. How my connection to the other side helped me to get clean from a four year crystal meth addiction, opened doors for me and set a series of miraculous events in motion that set me free. We talk about how I thought I was losing my mind but it turns out I was just waking up to the other side, the magic of the Universe and the love of God.+ I share the story of my friend MJ who passed away and whose death, I believe, saved my life. How we communicate with each other even though he is no longer in a physical body and how my connection to him is what woke me up and connected me to the love of God and the magic of the Universe.+This love lives in you and it lives in me.
