Welcome to my summer 2023 replay series! This summer, I'm re-releasing some of my favourite ever podcast episodes that I think are well worth a re-listen.

In this episode, which was first released way back in October 2021 as episode 4 of the first season of the podcast, I talked about the fascinating book 'The Danish Way of Parenting' by Jessica Joelle Alexander and Iben Dissing Sandhal. In the episode, I discussed ways of implementing their ideas in the language classroom. It's all about creating a warm atmosphere, being authentic and empathetic, allowing children to play and make mistakes, and focusing on the process/effort rather than achievement. Probably not worth listening to if you're hoping for tips on how to scare children and the best way to yell at them!
