Hello, my name is Fadillah Ross and this would be my first podcast. This episode will be covering one of the main themes that was uncovered in the book The Other Wes Moore. A brief bit of background on the book before I begin The Other Wes Moore tells the story of boys who live in the same neighborhood growing up in a hostile situation and trying to find their way out. The storyline covers two Wes Moores’ who grew up in a low income valued neighborhood while encountering issues with illegal drugs and violence. After reading the whole book one of the themes that stood out was Family, Friendship, and Brotherhood. Family, Friendship, and Brotherhood is more than just three meaningless words, but it is a powerful construction of the livelihood that both Wes Moores’ experienced.
