2 Kings 9-10 show God bringing judgment against the house of Ahab through Jehu. In 2 Kings 9, Jehu is anointed king, Joram is killed, Ahaziah is struck down, and Jezebel dies according to the word of the Lord. In 2 Kings 10, Jehu destroys Ahab’s house and removes Baal worship from Israel, but he does not turn from the golden calves of Jeroboam.

The simple truth is this: God’s Word of judgment may seem delayed, but it will never fail.
