1 Kings 6-7 show Solomon building the temple and completing many of its furnishings. In 1 Kings 7, Solomon builds his own house, constructs royal buildings, and brings in Hiram to craft the temple furnishings.

What is built for God must be built with reverence, obedience, excellence, and humility. A person can build impressive things for God, but if obedience is missing, the building may be beautiful while the heart is drifting.
