Love, you deserve it even when you don't feel like it.
In this episode we’ll be unpacking how love is a gift we are worthy of, while we don’t need to work for it. We love because Christ loved us first.
The only relationship you should get lost in is with God
John 3:16 states that "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Love is something we can experience because of Christ's love to die on the cross for us. 1 John 4:19 says that, "We love because he first loved us." By virtue of our sinful nature, we truly don't deserve it; however, his grace allows us access to his unfailing love, and in turn, it can be shared among one another.
You are NOT defined by your abilities.
Finding value outside of your achievements and assets is imperative in understanding and embracing the whole you. If you don't, you'll continue to be at the mercy of the things you can and cannot do. I'm not sure about you, but that is an unhealthy cycle that I no longer want any part of.
Making room for disappointment.
Disappointment is normal. We will fail people and be failed by people; however, life doesn't halt there, nor do we suppress the things that matter most to the people we care about and sometimes even ourselves. In this episode, we'll discuss the importance of expressing ourselves in moments that require it, as well as learning how to set healthy boundaries with ourselves and embracing the life that truly matters to us.
