Born and raised in Mumbai, Saumitra Chandratreya is a Fiber-Installation artist who lives in St. Petersburg, FL and Chicago, IL. He graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2017 with a Master of Design in Fashion, Body and Garment. He has a BFA in Textile Design from the Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Bengaluru, India. We have primarily worked together on a costume piece for my upcoming show HERE: in our bodies at Steppenwolf LookOut series Feb 26-28, 2026. Moon Haines (aka Tila von Twirl) is an award winning performer (BHOF 2009/2010 Las Vegas), director, choreographer, and mover who has been tantalizing audiences across the globe since 2008, blending classic and modern, upside down and right side up, in ways you have never seen before. We have primarily worked together in burlesque contexts, including their stage direction and choreography for my upcoming show at Steppenwolf Theatre - HERE: in our bodies.
