After an altercation with one of Nelgux's creations, Scylla-Mae and Milroy arrive in Mirefen. Sha Kalthes tries to negotiate with Oltex, priestess of the Drhnu, for the Bloodstone but the effort is futile. After being shown their quarters by Nelgux, rage begins to overtake Milroy. What history do these two have? Once alone, Sha Kalthes states that the Drhnu must be stopped at all costs and the Bloodstone retrieved. Scylla says she will do all she can to assist.
