Katie is a recent graduate from UNC-Chapel Hill who began her social media page, @KatieBeesHive, in October 2024. Her goal with this page is to shed light on navigating her mental health journey in hopes of destigmatizing conversations about mental health at large. Coming from a small town in rural North Carolina, Katie provides a unique perspective on her mental health journey from middle school until present day and shares how her time in college/Chapel Hill has influenced this journey. During this episode, Katie shares about her experience with therapy, the nuance in the relationship between her mental health and her faith, and the work she has done in the field. Want more? In this month's episode, Val and Libby discuss one of their most highly requested topics...therapy. Bringing years of personal experience to the table, the girls debunk their respective journeys with therapy including how they decided to give therapy a try, the process of finding a therapist, having to find a new therapist, and knowing when to take a break from it all together.
