This is a bedtime story for grown ups about an elderly lady receiving a postcard from a friend. She reads that postcard as the story unfolds about a woman travelling around the world in search of the strange and mysterious. She is on a train which passes through a mountain tunnel, but exits in a different reality. The woman then goes on a journey through the land to find a solution so that the train can continue on in its own reality again. On her journey she encounters a friendly hippo who gives her some items to help her on her quest. She finds her way to a magical door in ancient ruins of a city in the woodland. The other side of that magical door is a meadow with a parrot and an orange dinosaur. They guide her to the coastline where she gets help from a Humpback whale.
