EP11 Mastering
Rude Girls: https://rudegirlsshop.com/ "Heavenly Father, We thank You for the crisp mountain mornings and the unique path You have carved out for our lives. We thank You for the vulnerability we shared in this episode as we looked back on the roads we traveled to get here. Lord, Your Word tells us in Genesis 12:1 how You called Abraham to leave his country and his people to go to a land You would show him. We thank You for giving us the courage to leave things behind—to step out of our comfort zones and embrace the snowboarding lifestyle and the mountain community You had waiting for us. Thank You for being our anchor through every major transition. When doubt creeps in, or when the world questions the choices we've made, anchor our hearts in Luke 9:62, reminding us to keep our eyes fixed forward on the life and purpose You are building for us now. Help us to find true contentment not in earthly security, but in the joy of the wild, beautiful life You've given us the health and freedom to live. We also thank You for the fun and creativity in the details, like the outfits we wear, contents we want to create and the ways we express ourselves on the slopes. As Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 reminds us, there is nothing better for us than to be happy and do good, and to find enjoyment in all our toil, for it is a gift from God. Bless Chantal, bless our journeys, and protect us on every run. In Jesus' name, Amen."
EP10 Wax thangs
God, Thank You for days like this, for the snowboard on the bench, ordinary wax we used, good conversations, and the simple joy of preparing for another ride. Thank You for Nav for his willingness to help, to teach, to laugh, and to share the stoke that makes shredding more than just a sport. Bless our friendship and keep building the kind of bond that grows stronger through shared shredding lifestyle. As we take care of our gear, remind us to also take care of ourselves— our minds, our character, and the people around us. Teach us patience in the maintenance, gratitude in the little routines, and humility every time we strap in and head down the mountain. Give us wisdom to know our limits, confidence to keep progressing, and joy that doesn’t depend on conditions being perfect. Let every run be filled with freedom, laughter, and presence. And let the conversations we have—whether waxing, what the future of waxing should be like, or tuningcontinue to bring life, encouragement, and meaning to each other. Thank You for the gift of wax, friendship, and another season to shred together. Amen.
EP9 Stickers on Fin's board tell stories
Esplicito
"Heavenly Father, We come to You with hearts full of gratitude for this incredible season. We thank You for the snow, the amazing people, and the simple gift of being able to do what we love. Your Word says in James 1:17 that 'every good and perfect gift is from above,' and we recognize this season as a beautiful gift from Your hand. Lord, I thank You specifically for Fin and the spirit he brings to the mountain. Thank You for his encouragement and the way his joy makes every run better. We are reminded of Proverbs 27:17, that 'as iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.' Thank You for the way Fin sharpens my riding skills and my spirit through his friendship and fun-loving heart. We praise You for the stories of adventure, like those Fin shared. Thank You for the way travel and new cultures expand our perspective of shredding and Your kingdom. As Psalm 24:1 reminds us, 'The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.' We thank You for the beauty of the Japanese hills and the way You protect us across every slopes in different countries. As we look back on the highlights of this year, help us to carry this 'encouraging spirit' into everything else we do. May we be like Fin to everyone we meet—lifting others up, sharing a laugh, and riding with a heart of praise. Keep us safe as the season winds down, and let the memories we've made be a constant reminder of Your goodness. In Jesus' name, Amen."
EP8 Death cookies, mashed potato, lollipop
"Heavenly Father, We thank You for the strength and the creative spirit You’ve given Naomi. We praise You for the years she has spent serving the mountain community on the park crew, so that others can find joy and challenge in the park. Lord, Your Word says in Colossians 3:23, 'Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.' We thank You for the heart Naomi has put into her craft and the wisdom she shares as she passes on those hard-earned knowledge, tips and tricks. We lift up the injuries she mentioned. We know that You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your continued healing touch on her back. In moments where those past hurts bring frustration or fear, remind her of Psalm 147:3, that You 'heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds.' Give her—and me—the discernment to know when to push our limits and when to rest in Your grace. As I encounter dead cookies or mashed potato condition, I pray for a spirit of courage. Help me to remember Philippians 4:13, that 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' May every jump and every landing be an expression of the freedom, healing (Achillies) we find in You. Protect us both as we ride. Grant us sharp minds to see the lines clearly and steady feet to land safely. Above all, let our time in the park be a testimony to Your joy and the beautiful community You’ve placed us in. In Jesus' name, Amen."
EP7 SORRY SORRY
"Heavenly Father, We thank You for the mountains where we learn not just how to shred, but how to live. We thank You for the friendship between Robin and me, and for the vulnerability shared in this conversation. Lord, we bring to You our 'sorry mentality' that so often fills our mouths. Your Word tells us in Psalm 139:14 that we are 'fearfully and wonderfully made.' Help all of us to believe that we are enough exactly as we are—even when we fall, even when we are slow, and even when we make mistakes. Teach us to replace our apologies for taking up space with gratitude for the journey You have us on. When frustration rises on the slopes or in life, remind us of James 1:4: 'Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.' Grant us the patience and help us put in time becoming the rider we want to be. Help us to see that frustration is not a sign of failure, but a sign that we are growing into something new. For the moments of fear that Robin and I discussed, we lean on Your promise in Isaiah 41:10: 'So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.' Whether we are standing at the top of a challenging run or facing a difficult decision, let us feel Your steadying hand on our snowboards. Soften our internal voices, Lord. May we speak to ourselves with the same kindness and grace that You extend to us every single drop. In Jesus' name, Amen."
EP6 Study the unknowns
Sunshine Village Ski School https://www.skibanff.com/ski-ride/lessons-rentals/snow-school/ "Heavenly Father, We thank You for the gift of the mountains and the healthy knees today. We praise You for the strength You give us to sustain in raining ski days and the wisdom You provide to lead others. Lord, we lift up the work that happens on the slopes. As we teach others—especially the children—grant us a double portion of Your patience. When they face the 'unknown' and feel the weight of fear or frustration, help us to be a reflection of Your steady hand and encouraging voice through the holy spirit. May our instruction be more than just technical; let it be an act of service that builds their confidence and reveals their potential. We pray specifically for our own 'unknowns.' In the runs where the path ahead isn't clear, or when we feel the fatigue of the training, remind us that You are the Author of the learning process. Help us to embrace the things and tricks we don't yet understand, trusting that You are refining us in the struggle, Lord, Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that 'You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.' We ask that You would replace our hesitation toward the unknown with that sound mind. Teach us the wisdom of Proverbs 18:15: 'The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.' Forgive us for the times we’ve let laziness or a closed heart lead to conflict and disappointment. Give us the energy to be curious—to put in the effort to know the 'unknowns' better so that we don't stumble into misunderstanding and regret. Jesus, You modeled what it means to lean in. Help us to follow the guidance of James 1:19, being 'quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.' Please use our curiosity as a bridge to peace rather than a wall of defense. Bless the conversations we share and the episode we create. May our words reach those who need encouragement, and may our friendship be a source of iron-sharpening-iron strength. Keep us safe on the runs, joyful in the cold, glorify you with the cool tricks we accomplished. and always mindful of the beauty of Your creation. In Jesus' name, Amen."

We thank you for Shunsuke's inspiration to step out of our comfort zones to explore different industries. Lord, your Word says that you have given us different gifts according to the grace given to each of us. We ask for the courage to say 'yes' to the new tricks you open. As we explore new lines, tricks, and styles, help us to see your hand in all of them. Grant us wisdom to learn quickly and humility to be a student in every slopes we ride. May our drive to experience everything not be rooted in restlessness, but in a desire to see your glory in every corner of creation. Keep our feet steady on the 'mountain' and our hearts anchored in You. Whether we are on the slopes, in a new office, or in a new country, let our lives reflect your love and excellence. In Your name we pray, Amen."

Thank You for the joy of that feeling at Sunshine Coast and the thrill of falling in love with the mountain. Lord, we bring Troy’s cartoon show before You. You are the Ultimate Creator, the one who spoke the stars into existence, and we know You’ve placed this vision in his heart for a reason. We ask for Your help with our procrastination. Your Word says that 'whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.' When the 'scroll' or the 'sofa' feels easier than the 'sketchbook,' give him a nudge of Holy Spirit discipline. Replace his hesitation with a hunger to create. As his (our) plans of Austria, Help us to be faithful with this season. Give him the 'send-it' mentality—not just on the board, but at the show production. May his art and his riding both be a reflection of Your beauty. Keep us humble as a beginner and hungry as an artist. In Your name, we pray, Amen."
EP3 Living in a ski town is actually not that expensive if you hit the slopes all the time, I guess.
Pics from Finland https://www.instagram.com/p/DURb7AGDB30/?img_index=1 "Lord Jesus, We thank You for the gift of friendship that spans from Banff to Joensuu. Thank You for Miia and the way she shared her home, her culture, and her journey with us. Lord, as we talked about our lives in ski towns, we recognize that 'actually, it’s not that simple.' It takes work, it takes grit, and it takes a community. We thank You for the resilience You’ve built into us through the cold winters and the T-bars. We ask that You would be the 'True North' in our lives. Whether we are riding the hills in Finland or big mountains in Canada, help us to remember that You are our true home. Grant us contentment where we are today. Help us not just to 'live' in a ski town, but to thrive there—serving our neighbors, loving our friends, and reflecting Your light in the lodge and on the lift. Thank You for the beauty of Finnish buffet and cozy vibe of the hills we visited. May we always be shredder who are led by Your Spirit. In Your name, we pray, Amen."
