😳 “Joe… is the house falling down?”

Not exactly the question you want to hear during your home inspection.

My buyers loved the house. Their offer was accepted, everything was moving along… and then the inspector found that part of the main support beam had been cut to make room for plumbing. 🏠🔦

Scary? Absolutely.

Automatic reason to walk away? Not necessarily.

Instead of panicking, we brought in a structural engineer, figured out exactly what needed to be done, and negotiated with the seller to have the issue properly repaired.

And my buyers ended up buying the house. 🔑

That’s the important part of a home inspection:

Don’t make decisions based on fear. Make them based on information.

What’s the problem? Can it be fixed? What will it cost? And who’s going to pay for it?
