After finishing Ecclesiastes last week, we are back for our “fourth season” of the gospel of Mark, this time focusing on chapter fourteen, where Matt discusses the dramatic final moments of Jesus’s ministry: though Christ knows Peter will deny him and that the disciples will let him down in Gethsemane, he still loves them and dies for them. Matt points out that we, like the disciples, let Jesus down due to our sinful natures, but Christ still died for us and will never stop loving us.
