Sowing the gospel is explained in this parable. The Lord used this parable as the first of importance because it speaks of salvation. The seed is the gospel and the soils describe the ways the hearers receive it or not. The Lord speaks of the mystery of the kingdom, that the kingdom is postponed. We are living in the time between the First Coming and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This parable is important for all Christians. It is especially helpful to give us discernment and hope in evangelism. Mark 4: 1-20.
