The bible is such a gift from God. It contains truth and instruction that we can base our lives on. For many Christians though, they read the bible their whole lives and it doesn't really change them. Frustrating! Why is this? Are we missing something? Consider this, God communicates to us through scripture but He also communicates to us by speaking personally into our lives.
