CTE might be the last bipartisan issue in America. Everybody agrees with us now — which is the most dangerous moment a movement ever has.

New research says intensive CTE works: better jobs, better wages, real outcomes for kids the academic track was losing. But when comprehensive high schools just expanded their offerings, there was little effect on graduation and four-year college enrollment went down. The variable is intensity. Not exposure. And we're about to get expansion without fidelity.

The lesson: multi-teacher programs, and the two questions that matter more than any org chart. Do you have genuinely different expertise — or three of the same specialist in different rooms? And would a kid describe your program, or just name a teacher?
