Traffickers are leveraging such platforms and smartphone technology to expand their illicit activities, which - beyond the tragic human cost - can also severely damage the reputation of the platforms that unwittingly hosted such activity. By rooting out such criminals, platforms can collectively deny traffickers a territory in which to operate.
