The titles 'Son of God' and 'Son of Man' are among the most recognized descriptions of Jesus, but their true depth is often missed. A common assumption is that 'Son of God' points to His divinity and 'Son of Man' points to His humanity. While Jesus is fully God and fully man, reducing these titles to that simple distinction misses their real power. 'Son of God' is indeed a direct claim to divinity, something the Pharisees found deeply offensive because they already knew He was a man. What shocked them was the claim that this man from Nazareth was also God.
