Christology is the study of the person and work of Jesus Christ. It explores his pre-incarnate existence (before He came into the world); his humiliation (His life, suffering, and death on earth); and his exaltation and ongoing ministry (His resurrection, intercession, and future return as Judge and King)

It is important that we understand all of these fully because, the power of Christ’s saving work depends entirely on the truth of who He is. If Jesus is not truly God, His death cannot save. If Jesus is not truly man, He cannot stand in our place. Everything rests on getting His person and His work right.
