Meet Stephen Hearen (Head Football Coach)
Stephen Hearen serves as Ascension Episcopal School's Head Football Coach. A family man, he enjoys time with his own kids as much as time on the field. Jeff Pinnow serves as Ascension Episcopal School's Head of School. With international experience in education, Pinnow came to Ascension in 2023 with a wide background. Meet Emily Hylden (Reverend)
Reverend Emily Hylden is a leader at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Lafayette, LA. A graduate of Duke University, Mother Emily is also a certified yoga instructor, and a spiritual director, runs a podcast, and is raising her three young boys with her husband, Father Jordan Hylden. Mother Emily leads not only our PK3 - 12th grade students in worship but also leads the church and school community with her peaceful, heartfelt preachings. Shome Dasgupta is an Ascension alumnus, upper school English Teacher, and yearbook and journalism sponsor. In addition, Shome writes poetry, short novels and stories, and has a collection of prose coming out soon. Meet Coach Sciambra (PE Coach)
Coach Sciambra has coached our lower and middle school Blue Gators to better health since 1995. Having coached volleyball, tennis, basketball, baseball, and golf, Coach Sciambra has also performed on stage. He loves Ascension for its family-oriented atmosphere, explains why he is always smiling, a time he had "big" hair, and leaves listeners with a final piece of advice.
