Helenna Hercigonja-Moulton is a former professional soccer player who represented Croatia on the national team, in both soccer and futsal, and now coaches and works towards improving participation in women’s soccer in Croatia. Helenna was born in Los Angeles with Croatian and Jamaican roots and moved to Croatia where she graduated from the University of Zagreb and got her Master’s degree. In this episode we hear about her move to Croatia, career there as a player, and how she’s developing soccer programs for girls in Croatia!
