Meika creates handbags using leather, natural and synthetic fabrics, or a combination of the aforementioned along with various types of hardware and notions. Her works are an expression of her introverted-extroverted, nomadic self and are influenced by her love of nature, culture, travel, color, geometric forms, architecture, and fashion. Meika's minimalist creations are a reflection and manifestation of said geometric forms and their juxtaposition with transformation and movement, whereas bolder pieces are often inspired by elements of various cultures, or are a direct nod to present-day or historical occurrences within a particular culture.
