The Absent Disciple and the Wounds That Produce Witness

The center of this passage is not Thomas’s doubt.

The center is Messiah entering a locked room and saying, “Peace be with you.”

Thomas is often called “Doubting Thomas,” but Scripture calls him the Twin. He is a wounded disciple who missed the first appearance and now struggles to survive on somebody else’s encounter.
