The walls are closing in on Sami Zayn. Sami Zayn delivered one of the best segments of SmackDown tonight, but one thing became very clear — EVERYBODY is coming for the WWE Champion. Je’Von Evans, Penta and Trick Williams all found themselves in Sami’s orbit, and suddenly the WWE main event scene feels absolutely loaded. I especially loved Trick Williams tonight. Trick continues to feel like he belongs at this level, while Sami once again showed exactly why he works as champion. That entire segment was fire and easily one of my favorite parts of the show. We also now know the Money in the Bank field, Kevin Owens secured his spot after Cody Rhodes failed to qualify, and things are getting even more interesting heading into MITB. Overall, I thought this was a good SmackDown. Nothing necessarily felt like an all-time memorable moment, but there really wasn’t much to complain about either. Good wrestling, good segments, Trick was great, Sami was great, and the main event picture is getting CRAZY. Who should be the first person to come after Sami Zayn?
