Members of North Carolina’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities community shared firsthand perspectives during a visit to the General Assembly on Wednesday. Despite recent legislative efforts, thousands of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities remain without critical services. More than 18,500 North Carolinians are stuck on what's known as the Innovations Waiver Waiting List—far outpacing those receiving care.
