Emily Foster didn't have the conventional path to becoming a small business owner. What started as a side hobby while working towards her meteorology degree at North Carolina State University has now become a business she takes to countless conventions. At GalaxyCon in Raleigh, Foster will show off over 10,000 plushies, many of which she sewed herself. Her business, Alpacasews, has grown so fast that she can no longer keep all of her plushies inside her apartment and now requires a warehouse. Foster joined Jeff Hamlin on the WPTF Afternoon News to discuss how her hobby grew into a business.
