Hello fellow Withstanders! Are you finding that you need to remind yourself to unclench and exhale as you scroll through the news lately? Me too. Whilst I continue to lurch from one headshake-inducing headline to another, and rail against the extreme left’s agenda as we march towards The Great Tribulation here on earth (I mean, how else did I think these last days were going to play out?!!) I was reminded by a Charles Stanley sermon from the vault earlier this morning, that we are to stand firm upon the foundation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the Gospel of Peace. For those of us who have accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour, we have been saved by the grace of God, which is a gift that we do not deserve. Which is why I need to check myself from time to time when the temptation to remove the speck from my brother’s eye creeps in. And that applies to people in my social circle, the media, our leaders, the list goes on. We’ll cover this and more on this pocket-sized podcast. The maelstrom of rumours, fake news and actual news continues to gather pace both here in Australia and across the globe. In the past 24 hours alone, a supposed bat-spreading pandemic threat has been identified, Benjamin Netanyahu is set to land in Washington DC any minute now, the stories about Joe Biden’s successor continue to evolve and a number of horrific incidents have allegedly occurred involving Australian victims overnight in Paris just over 48 hours out from the Olympics. If you’re empathetic to the plight of those suffering and you’re awake and watching the dots form and connect each day, it can be incredibly exhausting to both digest and discern all of the above; but Deception and Chaos are Satan’s happy places. They’re his playgrounds in which his manipulates both the participants and the observers. So for those of us who like to keep ahead of the curve, while looking up with the blessed expectation of Jesus Christ’s soon return, we can often find ourselves in a state of push-and-pull or fight-and-flight. It must be a day ending in ‘y’ because the rollercoaster that this world is on seems to have transitioned to a ride on the Mad Mouse – do you remember that ride? It was a favourite of mine at the Royal Melbourne show back in the day… So, President Biden has dropped out of the Presidential Race, he has endorsed Kamala Harris who, it seems has now been UNBIDENED by what has been, but at the time of recording, Former President Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi have not endorsed Harris. And there are plenty of rumours that Hillary Clinton may make a comeback. Oh, and apparently the 2024 Olympics start in three days… But back to the November 2024 election in the States. Now more than ever, we crave strong leadership. But what does it mean to be a good leader and most importantly, a godly leader? We'll cover this and more on today's show.
