Ken Amaro - THE Hat man: Seriousness of Type 2 Diabetes

This week we welcome Ken Amaro. After doing 42 years in television and broadcasting, Ken is now a City Council Member at Jax District One. Ken grew up in the Virgin Islands and then decided to move to Connecticut. Here is where he found his love for Broadcasting. He was working at the Radio Station while also being a part time student. He then decided Connecticut was too cold, so he ended up in Florida. Now Ken has transitioned into local politics. With a faithful background, Ken believes in predestination; "you may take some twists and turns, but you will wind up where you are supposed to be". This leads into his story on how he figured out Ken had type 2 diabetes. Join us this episode to learn about Ken and managing type 2 diabetes!

Nathan Walter updates with Armada

We welcome back two-time guest Nathan Walter! A lot has happened in the past year starting with a 10-year anniversary, a new women's team, academy and a new stadium! This episode we dive into the recruitment process, the players, and the team dynamic of Armada FC! Women' Soccer is starting to explode and the development begins to grow. Nathan explains that the participation that young women have is exceptional but the only problem they face is the "fandom ship" of the sport. The sport of "futbol" is growing in the US. Technology, awareness through social media, and professionals from all over the world has been few of the Mutiple factors that have help this sport grow. Stay tuned for Healthy or Not Healthy!

Night For Heros Event with Tony Marra and Laura Tuck

Join us for this week's episode with Tony Marra and Luara Tuck deep diving into UF Health and the Night for Hero's Gala. Tony has a long background of Athletic Training from NFL to NHL, to Olympian, back to High School. Luara is a team lead in Rehabilitation Services at UF, with a background in Occupational therapy. Together they join to create the Night For Hero's gala. The Gala is held every year and this year we are honoring Milo and his comeback story! Milo suffered a head injury in one of his soccer games. This episode Tony and Laura explain Milo's story and how they worked together to get him back on the field today. Doctor Judith Abbey with On the Go Drip comes and brings Eric back to health with IV treatment!

Doctor Judith Abbey joins us this episode with her company On the Go Drip. Dr. Judith shares her passion for family, The Lord, and her business while also poking Eric with (IV) needles to bring him back to health. She tells us her story about coming to the U.S. from Ghana and what life looked like for her and her family. She had a calling to help others and was not getting fully satisfied with her nursing job, so she knew something had to change. Her goal in life is to support Mama and that was her mission. She became an "entrepernurse" and found joy through this lifestyle. "Changing from the inside out" is her message she wants to send to clients, wanting them to be PROactive vs REactive. Not only can Judith come to your house to help you with a bad hangover, but she also has a four-step process for clients to be able to receive other treatments depending on their assessment.
