How FCIF Helps Flooring Families Through a Medical Crisis

A medical crisis can threaten much more than a flooring family’s health. The Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF) helps eligible families manage the financial strain that can follow.

Brian Preuss speaks with FCIF Executive Director Andrea Blackbourn and board member Paul Murfin about who may qualify for assistance, what grants can cover, and how support may extend to an eligible family member in a flooring worker’s household. Andrea explains the medical, financial, and industry employment considerations behind an application. She also shares the difficult circumstances many families face by the time they reach out.
