There are moments when faith invites us beyond what feels safe, into places where our own strength isn’t enough. The disciples were already battling contrary winds when Jesus appeared on the water, and Peter dared to do something no one else did—he stepped out of the boat. It didn’t mean he never faltered, but it did mean he experienced what was only possible by keeping his eyes on Jesus. Faith doesn’t require having everything figured out before we move; it simply asks us to trust that Jesus is close enough to catch us when we do. Consider what it might look like to step out, even when the wind is against you.
