John 17:1–26; Mark 14:26–72

Before leaving the upper room, Jesus lifts his eyes to heaven and prays — for himself, for his disciples, and for everyone who will one day believe because of them. Then, in a garden called Gethsemane, he prays in agony while his closest friends can't stay awake, before Judas arrives with an armed crowd and a kiss. By midnight he's standing before the high priest and the whole council, while Peter, warming himself by a fire in the courtyard below, denies him three times before the rooster crows.

We are in a Mark-John Harmony. Today's episode covers: John 17:1–26, Mark 14:26–72 (the High Priestly Prayer, Gethsemane, the betrayal and arrest, the trial before the Sanhedrin, and Peter's three denials).
