Why does it feel like Mom is responsible for everything?

In this episode, we’re talking about the invisible load so many women carry—the kids, meals, appointments, school, laundry, schedules, household responsibilities, and the constant mental checklist that never seems to turn off.

I also get personal about my own marriage. My husband and I didn’t start with the marriage we have today. It wasn’t always perfect, and neither were we. It took years of communication, uncomfortable conversations, learning each other, and figuring out how to truly function as partners. What we’ve created may not be everyone’s definition of a “perfect marriage,” but it’s perfect for us.

We also talk about the difference between women who are genuinely doing it alone and women who may have a partner but continue accepting a dynamic where everything falls on them. Sometimes you’re surviving circumstances you didn’t choose—and sometimes you have to ask yourself whether you’re continuing to choose a struggle that can be changed.

This isn’t about judging anyone’s relationship. It’s about having the conversation: What should partnership actually look like, and why have we normalized women carrying so much of the load?

Wait, let us explain…
