Pharaoh didn’t need much of a reason to lock someone up. In Genesis 41, we see a ruler quick to remove people from his presence the moment they fell out of favor. The chief butler and baker offended Pharaoh — and just like that, they were in prison.
But God is not like Pharaoh.
