Silent Hill: Revelations (2012): The Only Revelation Is That It's Trash

Listeners will know that Jamie and Rory both enjoyed the 2006 Silent Hill movie quite a bit. Unfortunately this follow up isn't so fondly remembered. Featuring a confused plot and an ill-advised pre-ponderance with 3D, Silent Hill: Revelation might be one of the biggest sequel downgrades of all time. Forbidden Siren / Sairen (2006): Not Forbidden, Just Not Working

This week's episode of VGMP takes us to Japan for this adaptation of the cult survival horror franchise. This low budget horror has an indie feel that has a patchy result. What works in the film and what falls flat? Tune in to find out! Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

eXistenZ (1999): David Cronenberg Terrifies Gamers

Today we're talking about this 1990s film from the master of body-horror David Cronenberg. Starring Jude Law and Jennifer Jason Leigh along with appearances from Christopher Ecclestone, Willem Dafoe and Callum Keith-Rennie, this film revolves around a "biological" videogame console that is played by being plugged directly into the spine of the user. As you can probably imagine, things don't go smoothly. Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

Black Heaven (2010): Genuine Masterpiece Failed By Including Videogames

Featuring Daniel Craig, Iain Glen and Angelina's British accent, how does Tomb Raider hold up over twenty years later? Resident Evil: Death Island (2023): The Death Of Jill Valentine!

Capcom finally give fans of Resident Evil what they've been waiting years for; bringing the "big four" Resident Evil protagonists together for the first time...in a throw-away CGI movie with a one-and-done villain. Huh. Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

Sonic Drone Home (2022): Even Idris Elba Didn't Want To Do This

On this week's DLC episode of VGMP we continue the build towards the release of Sonic The Hedgehog 3 with this short film set in the Paramount universe. This was an extra short, featured on the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Blu-Ray disc. Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

Mortal Kombat: The Journey Begins (1995): Scorpion Is The World's Worst Ninja

This animated short was made as a prequel to the 1995 movie, featuring pages of exposition and some hilarious animation choices. Is there any reason to watch this in 2024? Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

The Far Cry Experience (2012): More Like Christopher Minced-Splats

Released as a promotional feature alongside Far Cry 3, this web series features Christopher Mintz-Plasse playing a fictionalised version of himself who finds his lovely tropical cruise interrupted by the arrival of Vas (Michael Mando).
