[§209] Rev 12:12: Rejoicing in Heaven at War’s End

This podcast explains the statement in Revelation 12:12, which states that the heavens rejoiced when Lucifer (Satan) was cast down from Kolob to this earth at the end of the war in heaven. There was great reason to rejoice because salvation had come to Kolob with the strength and kingdom of God and the power of his Christ.

Revelation 12:12 refers specifically to heavens‒plural that rejoiced at the end of the war in heaven. There were at least three distinct heavens that rejoiced when Satan was cast down to this earth. The first heaven was Kolob itself and the premortal spirits who kept their first estate. These spirits rejoiced when they were appointed to live on this earth during their second estate. They rejoiced because this earth had been created and they were about to embark on their mortal journey.
