Elizabeth Short, a 22-year-old woman, was found cut in half; gruesomely murdered, and dismembered. She was discovered on January 15th, 1947 in an abandoned lot in LA. Elizabeth Short was nicknamed the black dahlia after a popular movie of the time yet her famous and mysterious death gave her more fame than the movie she was named after. For 75 years her death has not been solved but Steve Hodel, Former LAPD believes his sick and twisted dad George Hodel butchered Elizabeth. This episode contains kidnapping, assault on a minor, and murder.
Matthew Hoffman was what some would call, a loner. With a history of burglary and arson, this ex-convict would allow his desperate times and extreme obsession with trees to turn him into a mass murderer in 2010. What started as a simple burglary to Matthew turned into a gruesome murder of two women and an 11 year old boy by accident, or so that is what he says. But what doesn’t add up is why he kidnapped and SA’d a 13 year girl who saw him murder her family and took her back to his home of horrors which was completely covered with, leaves. Elisabeth Fritzl was is the 4th child of Rosemarie and Josef Jr Fritzl. Everyone thought that their family was just an average family in Austria. Even her dad had a wall respected job in town, however, his dad was noted to be incredibly strict with his children. What they didn’t know, though is that he wasn’t just strict he was building a prison in his basement, where he keep his daughter Elisabeth all to himself, assaulting her and getting her pregnant seven times. Elizabeth was locked away for over 20 years to not see the outside world until she was 40. This episode discusses, kidnapping, incest, and sexual abuse of a child.
