#48 Every Sentence You Say Now Carries a Parenthesis You Can't Close

You say something. Then you wait.

Not for an answer — something smaller. You wait to see if the sentence landed, if it existed at all. Most of your speaking is like this now. Words go out, but they hang there, unfinished, until someone catches them.

What if you said something and didn't wait? What if the sentence left your mouth and that was already enough? You've forgotten that's possible.
